General Practitioner Assistance

Hollywood After Hours Clinic

Provides consultations with a General Practitioner (GP). An appointment is not required. However, payment is required at the time of the consultation.

Locum Service

The Locum Service can arrange for a General Practitioner (GP) to visit you at home. This is a 24 hour a day service. However, during busy times it can be a number of hours before the doctor is available to visit you.

Please note that ALL after hours consultations will be more expensive than seeing a doctor at the Univeristy Medical Centre during our daytime consultations.

The fees charged by the after hour services may NOT be covered by Medicare or some private health insurance companies.

Hospitals

All these hospitals are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

If you have a medical emergency you should attend the Casualty Service of one of the major hospitals. Life threatening emergencies receive priority care, so if you present with a minor problem at a busy time your wait may be a number of hours.
