Workshops

STUDYSmarter offers workshops on over 35 topics to help all students study smarter. Workshops are held in Guild Seminar Rooms (GSR)1 and 2 on the 1st floor of Student Services in the Guild Village.

Learning and Language Workshops

These FREE practical workshops are open to all enrolled students at The University of Western Australia. There is no need to sign up for these workshops.  Just join Get Smart to receive weekly updates on these workshops and other STUDYSmarter events.

In each small-group session you will:

  • receive expert advice
  • be able to ask questions
  • participate in 'hands-on' learning
  • make friends across the campus
  • develop your own learning network
  • learn strategies to use straight away

Check out the STUDYSmarter Workshop Topics for a summary of the different sessions.

Research Skills Workshops

Students enrolled in a higher degree by research programme (Masters by Research or PhD) can attend a range of research and thesis writing workshops. Check the Research Skills Workshop Page for more information and to sign-up.

Faculty-based workshops

The STUDYSmarter team regularly collaborates with Faculty staff to present customised sessions in schools and faculties with materials, examples and scheduling tailored to specific student cohorts. For information on initiatives in specific Faculties, see Faculty Teaching.
