If you are a UWA student, here are some fantastic ways to improve your English language skills:

STUDY Smarter workshops Free workshops on academic writing, speaking and presenting, grammar, critical analysis, study skills, referencing, etc Meet others and have fun while you improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills for academic study at UWA
UniSpeakers Club Free peer learning group for practising public speaking skills - meets regularly during the semester Become a better speaker in a friendly atmosphere where you learn from your peers and from an expert facilitator
Drop-in advice sessions Open sessions 1-2pm daily during teaching weeks in which students can ask study related questions without need for an appointment Have a chat about how you can help yourself to better English language skills - ask any question! Stay for a few minutes or for an hour
Student appointments Appointments with an Adviser to assist the development of learning, English language, research and/or writing skills Get individual advice on how you can improve your English - work out a tailor-made plan for developing your language skills for study - and life!
Podcasts Audio recordings of academic skills sessions that students can stream or download as podcasts Improve your listening skills by listening to STUDYSmarter workshops online
