As part of the Faculty's Special Lecture Series for first year Law students, LL&RS present sessions entitled Managing your Law studies: a beginners' guide, Get critical: tackling your reading and Convincing arguments: structuring the essay. These sessions were designed and delivered by the Study Smarter team by invitation from Prof Peter Handford.

In 2008, the outcomes from an Improving Student Satisfaction Grant will be implemented.  This will involved greater embedding of the Learning Skills sessions by including them in a credit-bearing unit (Legal Practice).  Face-to-face sessions will be supplemented by an online resource on writing skills written specifically for the UWA Law School by the LLRS team.
