More Information is available about the Teaching and Learning committee. eLearning Standing CommitteeThe eLearning Standing Committee is a sub group formed from the UWA Teaching and Learning Committee. This committee focuses on issues of best practice on flexible delivery and on-line learning. This committee also oversees the $12,000 Teaching and Learning Grant awarded to LLRS to develop on-line learning modules English for Academic Purposes discussion groupThis group meets regularly to discuss ways in which academic English programs run by the Centre for English Language Teaching can be informed by research, including research into learning at UWA conducted by LL&RS. English Language Skills ReviewThis working party was established in 2007 to examine the issue of English Language skills at UWA. LRS – Users Advisory GroupA Users Advisory Group has been established for a pilot Learning Resources System (LRS) project being implemented for Graduate Entry Medical program (GEMP) in the Faculty of MDHS. The ‘HIVE’ system/software is being used to consolidate and manage learning objects. Bridging Course steering committeeThis committee is working on the review and development of Bridging Course materials being carried out through the Centre for English Language Teaching (CELT) Student Services ExecutiveThis group meets monthly and includes representatives from Student Admissions, Student Administration, Child Care, the Centre for English Language Teaching (CELT), Student Support, the Student Information Managment Systems (SIMS) project and the Medical Centre. Board of the Graduate Research SchoolThis board meets monthly and advises the Academic Board on issues relating to research programs and administers the candidature of graduate research students. |
