The Housing Service offers a free and confidential accommodation advisory support service to enrolled students and staff of the University. Housing Officers do not arrange accommodation for staff or students. We can only provide advice and information; most of which can be found on this web site. The Housing Services manages the Housing Database, which is a self serve facility allowing enrolled students to view property listings and make their selections accordingly. A number of properties (either on a vacant or share basis) and rooms available for rent in homes in surrounding areas are listed in the Housing Database. Students may then access the information and contact owners or lessees directly to arrange a viewing. We do not directly arrange accommodation on behalf of staff or students. Click here to find out how to access the Housing Database. UWA staff and academics are welcome to use the Housing Database. The Housing Office also has a separate listing for accommodation for UWA staff and academics which is not accessible online. Please contact the Housing Office for further details. The Housing Office doesn't have details of any available rental accommodation in the area, other than the listings on the Housing Database. Students are urged to use this website and associated links to help in their search for accommodation. In addition to the Housing Database, Housing Officers also provide information and advice on housing issues, including helping you to understand leases, bonds, tenancy law and the costs involved with establishing a household. Information contained in the following web pages provides an overview of accommodation options available to UWA students and a comprehensive guide on how to undertake your search for off-campus accommodation.
If you are an international student or you do not currently live in or around Perth, we recommend you read the information on our 'Advice for Visiting and International Students' page.
