Grouping of Children

The Centre is licensed for 12 0-2 year olds, 25 2-3 year olds and 10 3-6 year olds. The children are divided into Babies (0-2 years), Toddlers (2-3 years) and Pre-school (3-5 years).

All rooms are Air-conditioned and heated, each with their own outdoor play areas. The Centre has a central Kitchen and adjoining dining room, which is utilised during lunch times for the toddler and pre-school children, and also for occasional cooking experiences. All outdoor areas are protected by shady trees, sail cloths and provide a combination of grass and soft fall area’s.

The babies have up to 8 children per day and offer a safe, nurturing and colourful environment, which consists of their own kitchenette facilities and two cot rooms, allowing for each child’s routine to be individually catered for. Their inside playroom leads out into their own outdoor garden which includes a sandpit, swing area and soft fall area.

The Toddlers room have up to 15 children per day and provide a large, stimulating and enriching learning environment, based on the children’s developmental needs and interests. All children are individually observed through their play, and learning experiences are then created and evaluated. A covered outdoor deck area leads from their inside environment and is used for snack times and art/craft experiences, especially during wet weather.

The Pre-school room caters for 24 children per day and staff offer an inspired and educational programme that is guided by the unique interests, strengths and actions of all the children. The children are given the freedom of choice when choosing and creating their experiences, which allows for the children to be encouraged to develop at their own pace. Additional incursions (Kinda Dance and Go Tennis) are also offered, at an additional cost to parents. A covered deck area is also heavily utilised for creative learning experiences and during social snack times.
