Offering Internships & Scholarships

An excellent strategy for building your profile with students is by linking your company with particular programs or courses of study at the university.

Internships generally involve providing students with the opportunity to undertake a work placement in conjunction with their studies. This may be organised in a block period or perhaps a part-time commitment on a weekly basis over a period of time. Internships require a time and experience commitment from the host companies and in return provide students on placement with a strong insight into the organisation as well as an experience that reflects positively on it.

Scholarship programs normally require a commitment by companies to provide financial assistance to a student selected in accordance with a set of criteria established by the sponsoring organisation. Often, scholarship programs commit the sponsored students to vacation employment with the company and/or a defined period of work on graduation.

For further information, please contact either the Careers Centre or academic staff in the Faculty / School of most interest to you.

Internships and scholarships can be advertised on UWA CareerHub - our online careers and employment service.
